DATES: May 17 - 28. (Mon - Fri.). Sessions from 8.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.

COURSE DETAILS :
This course will focus on What news is all about, How Reporters work, Interviewing skills and making contacts, Gathering information, Filing reports, writing Feature Stories, Writing for the Net, Blogging & Freelancing.
The course will be covered through lectures and daily field assignments. Media professionals will also share experiences.

Participants will have to report and file assignments daily from day one. These reports and photos will be posted on a blog - www.mtjclass.blogspot.com

FEE:
Rs. 1500 (non - refundable).
All participants will be given certificates.

WHO CAN BENEFIT
This workshop will be useful for those who plan to join a media course in college / plan to freelance / want to get an introduction to journalism / media. It is co-ordinated by Vincent D' Souza, Editor, Adyar Times, Mylapore Times & Arcot Road Times.

Admission starts from March15. For the Mylapore-based course, drop in at the MYLAPORE TIMES office in Alwarpet to pay the fee. For the Adyar-based course, drop in at the ADYAR TIMES office in Indira Nagar to pay the fee. Only cash is accepted as fee.
